So I've been recording my broadcasts to twitch recently using OBS, and up until last weekend, it seemed to work well. However, starting last weekend, some of the files don't appear to have any video associated with them, even though the SIZE of the videos (3 - 6 gigabytes) would suggest that information is there, or at least it's left space open for that information.
However, the video looks fine in OBS and streams OK. The files have always crashed in VLC when opening, and do so as well even in 64-bit VLC. The files open in Windows media player as usual, but with audio only. I've tried opening them in a video editing software, and it acts like it is audio only, I've opened it in a video converter software, and it says no video, and handbrake just refuses to open the file at all. I've also tried using the Remo Repair application that I saw someone ink, but it just throws an error in the middle of trying to process the videos.
Below is the relevant log information for one of my streams today (to hopefully stay within the character limit):
I think it has some connection with file size, because every time I've done a short test, both streaming or just recording, the video appears fine. However, it doesn't ALWAYS happen with large files. Since last weekend, I've probably had about 2 out of 6 or 7 files actually work when I tried to play them, but the majority do not work. The two files that worked also were both shorter and longer than other files that did not work.
I'm at a complete loss as to the problem here. I've tried about everything that I could find on the forums.
Edit: The only thing I can think of is that I MAY have changed the Video filter from Biliniear to Lanczos. I'll see if this works on my next stream assuming I don't see something else that might work here. I toyed with some audio settings in the past couple of weeks but nothing really on the video side, but that may have been something I changed. I'll see...
