Hey guys.
I have a Nvidia GTX 860m and decided to try ShadowPlay. I noticed after recording Starcraft 2 and Dota 2 that the mouse cursor doesn't show in the recordings. Ironically, it does show when recording CS:GO's menu, with all of the 3 on Fullscreen. A friend of mine told me that he is able to record the mouse cursor using ShadowPlay on a laptop, though his is way more expensive than mine. Whether this is true or not, this made me curious.
After unsuccessfully look for help from Nvidia forums and reddit, I decided to find out why, and ended up reading about Nvidia Optimus, what it is and how it works, which reminded me of Jim's post about the impossibility of recording both Desktop and Game simultaneously in laptops.
TL;DR -> My question is: How does Capture Mouse Cursor in games on OBS works, from a technical and/or software perspective? Does the option to explicitly record the mouse cursor exists for a reason related to technologies like Optimus? This is mere curiosity.
