Aw, damn. Could you possibly leave it in as a command-line switch, Jim? It's useful for niche setups, and a shame to strip it out just because some people enable options that they don't understand, then complain about the program being broken. A stronger 'blinkenlights' barrier could keep both sides (functionality, and shooing people away that don't need it).
I mean, did it get enabled by-default or something? See so many people apparently turning it on for no reason.
