Question / Help OBS Maxing Out CPU

Ive been using the exact same local recording settings for about 4 months with no problems and now all of a sudden its maxing out the cpu to 100% and causing all sorts of recording issues. Havent been able to find any help online at all also had a friend that had this exact issue with no fix either. Any Help would be awesome

Ive also just tested the setting all the way down to 720p@200KB encoding and it still maxing the cpu

1080p with a slower preset like "veryfast" has a huge CPU impact. Try to set a faster preset and lower the resolution to 720p.
This will help. I can use 1080p 60fps with veryfast preset on my i7 5820K @4,5GHz, but this is a 6core with Hyperthreading and higher clockspeed than your CPU. And i hit 50%+ CPU-load with OBS alone at this settings.

Just tried those setting and still pushing the CPU to around 85-95%. whats really weird is that i was using those other settings for months with zero issues and last night all of a sudden everything wants to start breaking and whats super weird is that i had a friend with a completely different PC build with an I7 maxing out his CPU with 720p@2500kb streaming almost the exact same issue but ill be damned if i cant find anything about it online, thanks for your suggestion btw
