No idea what's causing it, every time i start recording or start replay buffer and then tab out of obs or focus on something else, it just makes my screen black for a second and freezes the preview and the recording, tried removing all plugins, no hope, reverted gpu drivers, nope. this is making obs unusable for me.

Make a test recording. Make sure that the problem is present and then:

don't forget to include the time the problem occurred (to find it in the log).

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

enconding should not be a issue, having a vbr of 2000 to 4000kbps should not be a issue for a rtx3070, ive tried the solutions from the analyser but still didnt work
