Question / Help OBS loses my microphone randomly

When streaming the microphone will randomly stop working for OBS but I can chat in vent/TS/Skype/In Game etc.

My microphone is going through my Focusrite 2i2 and I have moved it to 1 other USB port but not sure what the problem is. Could be my entire OBS settings.

Going to reinstall my audio drivers. Updated my mobo drivers and trying to get it figured out

2 files logged just now and the bigger file it does it almost non stop. It is either a USB issue or something else but the microphone works anywhere else but OBS

lower your webcam resolution to 720p and increase scene buffering to 700ms

if still having issues, post another log with the changes a recommended. Stream or record for at least 5 minutes.

So what was the reason you were saying change both settings. What did you see that caused or could of been reasons?
After a reformat it did this. It never did it before and I don't believe I had to change my webcam resolution

Well, scene buffering should now be 700ms, this is more of a general thing but often fixes audio issues. Second, for some reason, if the webcam is to high it can cause audio issues as well, mainly desyncing issues.

I dont have a good answer for you at the moment. I would try it, but this isn't typical that it just goes out like this.

It will be fine then just quit. Randomly drop and then I have to reinitialize it. I might use a older OBS or something. Who knows

you might try the 32bit version of OBS. I dont think it will fix it, but its worth a shot.

Was there a solution to this issue? I am having the same debilitating problem.
