OBS isn't picking up desktop audio

I've been using OBS just fine these past few weeks, but lately I haven't been able to record audio from my desktop. I tried through Elgato and it worked just fine until I restarted my computer, and I had to uninstall its components because I couldn't hear anything. I've also tried initializing OBS in admin mode, but to no avail.

Now OBS picks up mic input, but not desktop input. I'm not sure what else I could do.

Update: I tried the solution on this thread - https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-desktop-audio-non-functional.117535/ , and the problem got somehow fixed! Though I'm worried it will break again if I try using Elgato, but for now OBS works just fine.
