Question / Help OBS is lagging at bright colors

Hey guys, I'm using OBS since a pretty long time now and no matter what I tried I can't fix my issue!

I'm recording Videos privately with OBS, mostly Osu!-Videos!
Well, it works pretty fine, but when a bright color or many small particle approach, the OBS-Video is lagging very hard!
I can see it live on my second monitor and in the videos later, but ingame it is still at 2000 fps!
I made a short video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYAZtb96cAw&feature=youtu.be

Any ideas what it could be?
Thanks, Toshi!

Oh, if you can't watch the video yet, I just started the upload a minute ago, so come back in 5 minutes or so ;)

This log file is from more than two weeks ago. Please provide a current log file generated from streaming/recording Osu with your current settings.

If you absolutely positively must record at 1080p60, try turning your preset down to superfast or ultrafast under Settings > Advanced or capping Osu's frame rate. Otherwise I'd recommend going to Settings > Video and either downscaling your recording resolution or lowering the frame rate at which you're recording. You may also want to check the following guide for how to get better quality out of your recordings - https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/

mmmh...I tried it out and I followed the instructions of the link but all that could not help me at all :/
The weird thing is that it only starts lagging whenever a lightning effect appears or the screen becomes bright, otherwiese it's completely normal. I would reinstall OBS, but I don't want to lose all my settings...can I save them anywhere?

The link is for improving the quality of local recordings, not addressing the core issue you described. That's why I provided specific settings changes in my last post. Reinstalling OBS will almost certainly not fix anything, but settings are stored in %appdata%\obs if you want to give it a go anyway.

mmmh...thank you, I will keep it in mind, but I also trust you if you say reinstalling won't help. I mean, if obs releases an update nothing changes in any way for me :/
Well, I still followed your instructions, I used the superfas/ultrafast settings, I downscaled the resolution and stuff like that but in the end, it has gotten that worse that I had to create a completely new profile!
I still have no idea where the problem could be, it's only in that one game, for me playing, the game is still running fluently and OBS's videos are just lagging when bright colours approach!
I don't know what to do anymore, neither the quality, nor the resolution seem to have any influence on that :(
