Hey guys, I have attempted to look for this information before posting and I couldn't find anything specific to my issue, its probably out there but knowing the luck im having its probably avoiding me lol.

(this issue only happens when using OBS with my HD PVR2 GE and not when PC gaming) Ok so my set up is a HD PVR 2 GE running it through OBS (for X1 streaming) I have my HD PVR 2 GE set as a global source / window capture / inner window. This is due to information that Hauppauge gave (saying it works better that way rather than setting it as a video capture device). I have a pair of Turtle beach PX 22's hooked up to my PC & X1 so I can monitor sound from both systems at once and of course so I can simply play the X1 and skype / watch films or streams at the same time.

Now the issue I have is when I try to stream I obviously get game sound from the X1 but of course I now also get the sound coming from the HD PVR 2 GE capture software. I could mute this sound but then I lose all game sound to the stream, I could in turn mute my X1 game sound, but then I would be listening to sound at a 10 - 30 second time delay (which has any gamer knows, that's huge no no). I have tried to mute sounds for OBS & HD PVR 2 GE via my volume mixer, but same results and I tried to alter sounds directly on the HD PVR 2 GE capture software but still the same result. Even if I lower the volume to make it bearable for myself it mirrors it on the stream making it barley listenable for viewers.

Im assuming there is some sort of setting im missing in OBS to fix this? Or maybe some sort of add on to fix this?

If anyone can help that would be amazing!

you shouldn't have the HD PVR 2 GE capture software open when you record with OBS. you should use the video capture device source, not a game capture of the software's window.

I have to have the software open otherwise OBS wont pick up the HD PVR 2 GE and only outputs a red box.
