Hey hey,
OBS is wonderful but I believe my "Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition" is pretty crappy for the $100~ I paid for it. For one, it was extremely sensitive when I first set it up, crashing a few times before it remained stable enough for me to realize how to set it up properly with an image in the program.
Anyways... my current dilemma.. I have the HDMI cable from my WII U going into the back of the Hauppauge and then the USB cable is plugged into my laptop. The cable goes from the back of the Hauppauge into the Samsung SmartTV. Yet it remains black.
OBS seems to recognize the Hauppauge but when I choose to highlight it and Window Capture (I believe that was my setup) it doesn't output it to the OBS screen. So the way I managed to get it working is by highlighting the video in the Hauppauge software but that doesn't give me 720p / 1080p.. it gives a low-res crappy output to a stream.
Any ideas?? Currently stuck on how to continue. Thanks in advance! :)
