I'm seriously at my wits end guys and need help. I use open broadcaster which was working fine until today. O use game capture mode and works with every game flawlessly apart from dota 2. It just keeps crashing dota and I just don't know why. I have uninstalled completely and reinstalled to no avail. It was working fine yesterday but today I boot up go to stream and OBS and dota have fallen out so to speak. Please help me guys. Windows 7 64 bit and used both 64 and 32 bit OBS and get the same problem.

When the game itself is crashing, it's usually indicative of some sort of outside interference. It's very rare to hear it happen to dota 2 as well, so that makes me feel even more suspicious, and curious about what other games you've tried.
(Cue copy & paste: ) Conflicting programs could be other capture programs, game mods and graphics mods (sweetfx in particular), graphics card utilities like msi afterburner or the EVGA 'K boost' feature (I think it's called), or programs that put in custom in-game overlays for their program, such as teamspeak/mumble overlays, or razer synapse overlay. If you're using "D3Dgear" (a very invasive program), you must completely completely uninstall it to fix the issue.
Check to make sure things like that aren't necessarily installed/active. If you have something like that installed but you aren't sure if it's not on, then more likely than not it's probably active via some windows service even if the program is off.

I literally was using it no problem the day before then ran it the same as usual the next day and boom its broken. I'm just confused, I do have team speak, skype and uninstalled afterburner and turned any possible overlay off. The only other distance is that obs updated I didn't restart and it was fine that day. Next day nope it didn't want to work. Other games I've used so far are alien isolation, the vanishing if Ethan carter, titanfall, dragon age, borderlands literally about 20 different games with three different clients steam, origin and uplay. I'm just so confused why it stopped working because border less window capture is not as good in my opinion e.g the follower alerts don't work properly.
