Question / Help OBS Game Capture Problems with Steam.

Hello Everyone,

I'm having a bit of a problem with my OBS Software, and i was wondering if i could get some help.

For some un-explainable reason, OBS does not recognize that i have open steam games, even after refreshing, opening the OBS as an administrator, and even restarting the whole computer, i cannot get it to get the ISAAC.EXE to be recognized as a game option. it works fine with non steam games thought, the Super Nintendo works normally.

I tried using the F12 hotkey option, but that was also a failure.

Note: in the past, i have been able to properly load games from Steam like left 4 dead 2, and Don't Starve. it seems to me like it is an issue with the new Beta, but i could be wrong.

i am using Version 0.651B as shown in the screen shot.
 
odd, have you tried putting the game in windowed and doing a window capture? not the best fix but it would do as a work around
 
Are you trying to play the older version of BOI? If i'm not mistaken that games is based on flash (not sure) and has issues with being captured.
A buddy of mine streamed it. After fiddling around with the game, he got the gamecapture to work but the fps droped significantly due to that. He had to use window capture in the end.

Windowed mode works, but I really want to avoid this option. It is extremely uncomfortable.

I also tried with surgeon simulator 2013, I had the same result.

I really want to avoid using window capture.
