OBS Freezing Randomly During Usage (Both Streaming and Not)

I am currently having an issue with my OBS freezing during use. The preview window will freeze and shutdown my stream if I am streaming, after that it lets me press a couple of buttons, but they do not do anything and the program eventually completely freezes. I have to go into task manager to close the program and no crash report is made. I have tried rolling back my obs version, my graphics driver version, and both at the same time and that has not fixed the issue. That seemed to be the only solution I could find anywhere online and it has not worked for me. Everything worked fine up until OBS version 28.1.1.

I have also encountered this issue once without streaming and just having the program open, so I don't believe this is a twitch related issue.

I have been having this same issue for months with literally no resolution found also... makes me so unmotivated to even try streaming live knowing it's going to randomly freeze when it wants and I will not notice for minutes because the audio meters are still moving and twitch chat still updates.

Having display and game capture sources in the same scene is known to cause performance issues. ALWAYS prefer game capture.

I am testing now if turning off HAGS fixes this issue, will keep you updated.

it has not solved it for me, i turned it off last night and this afternoon i still had the program freeze while not even streaming.
I streamed for 7.5 hours today and did not freeze after turning HAGS off. This is with the 28.1.2 OBS version and most updated NVIDIA graphics drivers, windows 11.
