When ever i click preview or start the stream the stream just freezes, im still able to click all the buttons, edit things, add scenes. But its just my gameplay that freezes.. I dont know if this is something to do with my settings or my computer.. but if this is a problem multiple people have. Can you help me fix it?

Please post a link to your last log file. In OBS select Help > Log Files > Upload last Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.

Your cpu cant handle that stream (recommended 4 core cpu) you need to upgrade your iron if you want to stream... or you can try these,

- settings > advanced > disable encoding for preview
- disable aero
- drop bitrate to around 1400 and resolution to 420p with 23 or so fps
- is ultrafast fastest possible? Check.
- untap optimize for multicore to see if it makes a difference

even with these settings i'm affraid 2 core cpu will choke when you actually try to play. But try who knows.

Explanation to your problem is, that your cpu isn't fast enough and the encoder yells (obs window bottomleft red text) encoding takes too long skipping frames. Log shows 99.90% duplicated frames. Serious downgrade in stream settings is necessary and your preview isn't actually frozen it's just all the encoder could encode and it keeps repeating it.
