Question / Help OBS Frame Drops

On Monday I was able to stream for 7 hours, no frame drops at all at 2300 bitrate. Today I tried to stream and I was dropped stupid amount of frames. I tried lowering the bitrate, changing twitch server and nothing changed it. I have 150mb download and roughly 12mb upload. I did several speed tests during the stream and I kept to these internet speeds. Any advice? Is there anything to fix this, or is it the twitch servers?

From what I know being a user like you, frame drops are problems with your connection to a server. Try changing servers or using the server ping plugin to find the best server. If not, have you tried Resolution Downscale in the Video setting? Change it to 1.25 or 1.50 and see if that helps. Also, make sure you aren't running a bunch of programs or anything that can be CPU intensive while you stream. In my case, I can't even run Google Chrome without it making my stream go banana sandwich. Also, if your FPS is 60 try changing it to 48 or 30. Those two settings and changing the preset in Advanced to Veryfast or Best Speed helped me and my laptop is....well, doo doo butter -_-

Hope I could help, hopefully a dev can stop by if I didn't. Good luck streaming!
