OBS frame dropping during recording of a capture card

I have been playing with this capture card for a while now and suddenly today, every time I try to record a video, the preview and the output video (in some parts) split the framerate even tho I haven't changed any settings. this just happened out the blue. Don't use the p7 nvenc preset when recording, especially not above 1080p
And don't use CBR as your rate control for recording.

Drop the preset to p4 or lower
change the rate control to CQP and set the CQP level to 16

I tried it but it changed nothing but the video output quality.

Windows media player (the newer one) and vlc

VLC is going to me more likely to play the recordings properly.

Provide a new log with the settings changes I advised.

Sorry for the late reply. I was out of town. Here is the log https://obsproject.com/logs/Qe58Gb1lQiejIPRK Prior to applying these settings. I reinstalled OBS. The output video was better but the frame rate was like 58, wasn't that smooth 60.

Remove the display capture source from the scene as well.
