Question / Help OBS for securely streaming a remote access webcam?

I've been using obs for streaming on twitch and recording gameplay footage. Amazing software, you guys rock!

Anyway, I want to set up a security camera at home that I can access remotely. I was thinking about using a Mobius action cam connected to a computer, and streaming it via obs. How would I go about setting up a stream that only I or someone with a password could view?

Hopefully that makes sense, let me know if I need to clarify my idea further :)

You can't, really. If you want to, look into Red5 RTMP server software, but be aware that it's extremely complex to set up and get running, and isn't really a fit for your goal.

A better choice would be installing ZoneMinder, if you're after home monitoring. It's designed for just what you're trying to do; CCTV monitoring, including passworded remote access and control for PTZ cams. Also can send out things like text alerts for certain conditions/alarms, and even remote-backup footage for safety in the event of a burglary.

If you're looking for a 'private time' cam, Twitch no longer offers passworded streams specifically because people were using it for that (along with streaming porn, movies, etc). I'm not aware of any streaming site that does... from what I saw, most of the majors followed suit for similar reasons.
