Question / Help OBS fileoutput only need a delay

Hi ,

I need to setup an offline stream (fileoutput only) for a parkour gym.

The owner want to setup a camera that have a 30 seconds delay so you can review your last move on the tv.

The gym don't have internet access so I can't make a live stream.

Is there a way I can do this (plugin/options) ?

I don't think there's a save to hard drive option to delay it by 30 seconds. Not sure why you'd want to do that though, it doesn't make sense, but you did say "fileoutput only". I think fileoutput only isn't what you actually want.

You can set up a delay for streaming video at Settings > Broadcast Settings > Delay (seconds). Sounds like you'd have to set up some kind of RTMP stream to a player that is shown on a monitor in the gym. There's guides in the Guide subforum to do this.

Yeah, nothing would go over the internet, it would require an local LAN though.
