Question / Help OBS dropping frames recently

I've noticed since yesterday that OBS is dropping frames a lot and I don't know why. No change in my settings and never had a problem before. Nothing wrong with my server ping time either so I don't know what's going on. I even lowered my settings to see if that helped but still same problems. Anyone else having these problems? Oh and don't ask me to write down all of my settings, nothing has changed so everything should still work. and I don't feel like doing all of that anyway. Besides I never got frame drops even at 60fps 720p and now there is still major problems even at 30fps.

Thanks.

Im having the same issues and its just recent. Im just curious my isp is Optimum online and Im in NY east coast. I tried the normal procedures listed on the ****Dropped frames/disconnecting? Read this first!**** post but nothing. I have over 100 down and 25-30 up and Im only streaming DAOC which is nothing :(

If you read the dropped frames/disconnecting topic then you should understand that it has nothing to do with OBS. It is a networking issue - with the ingest server you're streaming to, or the routing to that server, or the service your ISP is providing, or your own networking hardware, or any of the other things that have been outlined.

Thanks I will keep trying to plug and play and see if I can figure it out :)

I did a test using the program ShaperProbe and these are the results:

Connected to server 217.163.1.100.

Estimating capacity:
Upstream: 3440 Kbps.
Downstream: greater than 200 Mbps.

The measurement will take upto 4.0 minutes. Please wait.

Checking for traffic shapers:

Upstream: Measurement aborted due to high packet loss rate.

Maybe I'm getting a high packet lass rate when streaming and that's causing the problem. I just had the modem replaced like two weeks ago so I don't know if that could be the problems or not. Here is my log from a previous OBS session:

I did some tests with speedtest.net and there were no issues so I'm not sure what the problem could be at this point.

Upstream: Measurement aborted due to high packet loss rate.
If you ever get that message from ShaperProbe, then your upload connection is certainly having problems that you might need to look into.

The problem still exists, I think it's some issue with twitch because my uploads are still fine. Maybe they are restricting bandwidth for those who are not partnered or something.

Twitch doesn't limit bit rate for non-partners. It's almost certainly an issue with your ISP or networking hardware.

well recently I tested ffsplit and was able to stream at my normal bit rate so I dunno what the problem is. I don't like using ffsplit though because you tend to get rtmp error messages and the stream will just stop. I want to use OBS but there just seems to be a problem going on with no solution. I even lowered the bitrate to 1000, almost 1/3 of what I'm used to and still I see the greed box blink yellow and at some point it goes red and starts dropping frames then back to green again and so on.
