OBS doesn't recognize SSL 12 audio interface microphone input

Hi. I recently picked up an SSL 12 audio interface. When in OBS, the only drop-down for the input is "SSL 12." Selecting that for a microphone input does nothing, and it still receives no audio input from my mic.

I'm trying to configure a livestreaming setup from a digital audio workstation (FL Studio) out to OBS and YouTube. The ideal setup is being able to record desktop audio from FL Studio and having that as one input in OBS. The other is an input for my microphone so I can control volume levels separately.

Are SSL audio interfaces not supported in OBS yet? If not, when will they be? Is this a bug? Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Can you run the mic through the DAW? And give OBS a completely finished, final soundtrack to pass through unchanged?

It'd be similar to the "talkback mic" that the sound guy might use during a concert, or something like that. The entire rig is set up for the band, plus that one mic tacked on extra, but still on the same console.

If your DAW is good enough, you can record everything except that mic, and send the complete mix to OBS at the same time. You don't have to use the DAW's Master bus for everything. :-)

This is probably a late reply to this thread, but I'm successfully hooking up an SSL 12 using the OBS ASIO plugin

ASIO is what makes that work. It bypasses Windows' mess and goes directly to the hardware. And because you'd have to be at least somewhat serious about audio to even make that, the author also thought to put a channel selector on it, which OBS doesn't have.

But if you'll notice the "bad word" - in a Mac forum - that's there for a reason. ASIO only works on Windows, because only Windows has that mess that needs to be bypassed. For everyone else - Mac and Linux - we still need a DAW to make a many-channel interface work with OBS.
