Bug Report OBS doesnt pickup sounds from csgo with soundcard

Dota 2 works just fine same with TF2 it picks up sounds just like normaly but it just wont pickup anything from csgo now after i got my sound card, cant really find out what the problem

Do you have your CS:GO settings for sound set to a different Playback device?

It should be the same as in dota as its the same engine and i didnt change anything when i installed the soundcard and it works for dota, and im getting sound ingame directly to my speakers but OBS just wont pick it up

I also have a Xonar card and have to disable GX mode for some games. This really isn't something I want to do. I actually like having my games use hardware accelerated audio. Isn't there anything that can be done to fix this?

GX is not hardware acceleration, it's EAX emulation. You won't lose anything by disabling it.

Aida64 says otherwise though. I certainly wouldn't of bought a discrete audio card if I thought it was just software emulation. According to this stuff it does both software and hardware acceleration.

Very few games use EAX any more, it's mostly a legacy from the late 90s. I really doubt you'll see any difference with GX mode on or off, try playing back some audio and monitoring your CPU usage.
