Question / Help OBS doesn't capture windows, or many games like Dead by Daylight

OBS is unable to capture ANY windows or the monitor, it's just black.

I've switched between Intel and Nvidia gpu, I've ran it as administrator, doesn't change anything.

Also many many games aren't picked up by game capture either, like dead by daylight. I turned off stream overlay and that did nothing either.

Dead by Daylight shows up white, instead of black, however.

What do I do?

Gameshow can pick up the things that OBS can't, btw. Don't remember if it can do EVERYTHING it cant, but gameshow works much better, so it's obviously OBS and not my PC settings.

Follow the instructions Harold posted to get OBS running on your GTX 960M (it needs to run on the same GPU as your game). This will allow window and game capture to work. You may also need to run OBS as admin so it can hook the game, you can do that by right-clicking the OBS shortcut and selecting "Run as administrator".

I can't find that, where is that?

In the Game Capture source properties. There's a checkbox for anticheat compatibility hooking. It's needed for DbD, after you fix the GPU issue Harold linked you the fix for.
