Error: Could not initialize DirectX 10 on Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family. This error can happen for one of the following reasons:

1.) Your GPU is not supported (DirectX 10 is required - note that many integrated laptop GPUs do not support DX10)
2.) You're running Windows Vista without the "Platform Update"
3.) Your video card drivers are out of date

If you are using a laptop with NVIDIA Optimus or AMD Switchable Graphics, make sure OBS is set to run on the high performance GPU in your driver settings.

Your graphics card does not have sufficient support for DirectX 10. It does not matter if you have newer versions of DirectX software installed; your hardware does not support the necessary features, and no you cannot do anything about it apart from upgrading it.

The "Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family" is not currently a supported graphics adapter, because it lacks Direct3D 10.1 (or later) support.

In future versions is may be possible to run it in OpenGL mode, though the computer may not be ideal for live encoding in the first place.
