Question / Help OBS & Crossfire work around

As many of you know I am having issues keeping my crossfire active while streaming live using OBS. When I am streaming it disables GPU 2. So i was thinking instead of using the 1 video card if you think it is possible to do the following setup

Install my current Avermedia Live gamer HD pci express card into my computer
Open OBS and add the game capture as my capture device
Start streaming.


Has anyone tried using the capture card, on a 1 pc setup , to keep crossfire enabled?

That would fix the game capture issues, yes. Problem is, OBS uses the GPU for scaling/compositing/some other back end stuff, and Crossfire forces a shared memory mode that doesn't play nice. So it may not fix the problem at all. Best idea if you need SLI is to use a capture card 2-PC setup.

Really why SLI isn't advised for livestreaming, until you get to the mid-upper tech end.
