Bug Report OBS Crashing

Hello OBS Users,

I've been having issues with both OBS and Xsplit lately. It seems that my graphics card may be causing issues, although I'm not too sure about that. Whenever I launch the 64bit version of OBS and then start the stream it runs fine for 30 seconds or so before it crashes and then exits the program. More specifically, my monitor flashes and then a message pops up displaying "drivers crashed" or something like that. My minecraft client also crashes when this happen. I have uploaded both the crash log and a dxdiag of my laptop. Thanks for any help.

Best Regards,
Bluewiegi.

Can you confirm that you are forcing both java.exe, javaw.exe, and obs.exe to run on your dedicated graphics card? OBS uses your graphics card directly and needs to be forced to that same card.

You can go into the nvidia control panel by right clicking your desktop and you can set these applications to use the 'High performance processor'.

While this won't directly fix your issue, we just need to make sure you have everything set up properly.

Also, can you include the log from OBS? viewtopic.php?f=6&t=97

I'm having the same issue. gtx 770 SLI, 4770k, latest beta drivers Nov. 27. Streaming would be fine for awhile, then OBS crashes and crashes my video drivers. Any fix yet?

Kind of an old thread you're resurrecting. If it's after you changed drivers, then it's probably not an OBS specific bug, but rather a driver bug (they are beta drivers after all). Those particular devices should work fine typically, as they're extremely common.
