Question / Help OBS crashing as I preview/record/stream

So I hadn't streamed in maybe 2 weeks and I tried earlier and OBS has been crashing anytime I hit preview, record or start streaming. It happens immediately even if I don't have anything selected to show (and when I do) Thanks for any help you could give me, I have no idea what the problem is and I haven't touched my settings in months D:

Assuming I did everything right I should have added a crash log. Here is a log file:
Code:

reproduce this crash, please submit this crash report on the forums at
https://obsproject.com/ - include the contents of this crash log and the

a description of what you were doing at the time of the crash.

Hopefully it's just a settings problem. I've tried reinstalling, changing settings around and a few other things. Looked around for other answers too and didn't find anything :/

I'm pretty sure my video drivers are up to date. I have the AMD catalyst control center telling me that everything is up to date. I also don't think my drivers have updated anytime recently. But I will go ahead and try a clean install and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Yeah so Catalyst was gone away with about 20days ago, so I dont think you do. Also note that what hes telling you is that DDU will make sure that your drivers aren't being used while it removes the driver (and uses a default one) then allows you to reinstall that driver fully with a new driver. otherwise, windows could hold on to a really old driver and you wouldn't be the wiser.

Anyway, I would recommend you use either 15.11.1 Crimson beta or 15.11.1 non crimson beta.

Well I already did a fresh reinstall and it did indeed work. So should I just switch to the crimson one then or stay where I am at? I had no idea catalyst was gone away with.

Oh and thanks for the advice and everything guys!

Just make sure you use the Crimson Beta as the original release of Crimson on some systems has issues with manually setting the fan speed to 100%, 20% or 0% depending on the GPU. It mainly affected those who used overdrive but to be safe go with one of the two drivers I said above.
