Bug Report OBS crashes when stream is started.

New Member
I wan't to stream using game capture so that I can stream Archeage, but OBS is saying I must run in administrator to stream Archeage. When I click on "preview stream" or "start streaming", OBS crashes and gives me this error report. How would I go about fixing my stream? This does not happen when I don't run OBS in administrator, but if I do that, only a black screen appears instead of the game capture.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Somewhat of an annoying switchable graphics laptop issue with capture that can happen on certain models.

Try updating your video drivers. If that fails, try running the game in a borderless/windowed mode and using window capture instead. (Wouldn't recommend monitor capture generally)

Thanks for the help, but now whenever I stream, the stream has an echo that just plays an audio loop over and over. This loop usually lasts about 10-20 seconds, and when I restart the stream, the loop is still playing. I have muted my stream so I know it's not just because I'm just listening to the same thing in two tabs. I am also muted in game so the echo does not come from there either. I currently have music and game play going, but no mic.

If you have a mic, make sure it's not enabled in two places at once (such as enabling the mic both in the webcam properties and in audio settings, that causes it two capture twice)

Otherwise if it is not the mic that's repeating, then it's almost assuredly still just that you're watching your stream while streaming (sounds like it). Turn off the stream while streaming. Completely off, please. Just completely close your web browser.
