Bug Report OBS crashes when previewing stream

Just as the title says, whenever I preview my stream, OBS crashes, I've tried this on different scenes and different ways of capture and it crashes immediately after hitting preview stream. I even uninstalled everything and reinstalled to see if it was a plugin problem, it wasn't, it crashed immediately on vanilla OBS as well. Here is my log. I would post a crash dump, but for some strange reason it never creates the file.

EDIT: It also crashes when attempting to stream or record.

This is technically not the crash log. A crash log is generated just when you crash, this is a regular OBS log. Are you not able to paste the crash log data here?

Also, try using something other than monitor capture. Intel has been known to have crashes with it. Also, use more downscale, you only have two physical cores so that might cause some issues.

I only used monitor capture to try something, I tried it with window capture too. The crash log won't generate for some odd reason, the last crash dump I have is from May, I have no idea why it won't generate, but it just won't. I just get an error that says:

"Open Broadcaster Software has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I haven't updated anything except OBS because nothing needs updating. It was working fine before I updated it. The last working version that allowed me to do record/stream/preview was 0.625b, it's the only one that doesn't cause OBS to close out. I know because I just tested previous versions.

So it *doesn't* happen with the previous version? Could you please check to see if any particular source does it? If this is not a known bug, I need to find out what specifically is causing it to prevent it from getting in to later versions. You might have to come by chat some time for debugging if that's okay. It perhaps might be the only way to really figure out what's going on your side

Okay it's really weird, but when I accessed earlier versions they magically started working as did the latest version. I can't even replicate the problem and the only thing I've done is restart my computer and updated OBS. I don't restart my computer very often so I have no idea if that's the problem or somehow the update corrupted OBS or something. But that doesn't explain why some versions of OBS worked and some didn't.

Well thank you for letting me know either way. If you do have something similar like that happen again, make sure to do some tests like that to see if there's a specific cause that you can pinpoint.
