The latest NVIDIA driver causes this, try downgrading it.
I'm having this problem as well. What driver versions have been tested or known to be stable?

I'm on 527.56 (as of NYE 2023) and it's been dying on me for the past few driver updates already...

Just worth noting that the first time I start a video stream after a computer restart (shutdown -r -t 0) works as expected, but attempting to start it again (by doing anything, be that deleting the source, changing scenes, quitting OBS, disabling/re-enabling, etc.) results in OBS crashing when going into properties. If you don't go into properties, I think it's still gracefully handling the directshow failing in some way or another just by because the source is loaded in the scene. Reproduced in both beta (29.0.0rc3) and stable (28.1.2).
