Bug Report OBS crash while streaming or after restarting stream

I have been using OBS for a long time. But lately I had a problem with my laptop and had to restall all applications etc. Upon reinstalling OBS, I discovered that if I stream and end the streaming (whether it is for an hour or a short while (when testing it)), OBS will crash. At first I thought I would just not end the stream and the streaming will be fine at least for that session. Then I started to crash while I was streaming as well. It can occur after 10 mins or 1 hour during the streaming session. One such crash report (the latest) is :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OBS has encountered an unhandled exception and has terminated. If you are able to
reproduce this crash, please submit this crash report on the forums at
http://www.obsproject.com/ - include the contents of this crash log and the
minidump .dmp file (if available) as well as your regular OBS log files and
a description of what you were doing at the time of the crash.

This crash appears to have occured in the 'c:\program files (x86)\obs\obs.exe' module.

Did you not see the message box saying your GPU driver / card had crashed? Your GPU is unstable which is the cause of these crashes. Generally this is hard to diagnose, make sure you have the latest driver and are not overclocking.

Including the log file on the 18th Aug. There are others but only including for 18th as a sample.

No. I couldnt really see the message when OBS crashed. It only said something like buffer chain error something like that but it is quickly blocked by another message that doesnt say much. My game and other applications are still running fine. If the GPU driver is unstable, wont it affect my other programs and games?

Upon reinstalling all the drivers I was pretty sure the latest drivers were installed but I'll check on that again.

Thanks.

Ah I recall they did say that it seems like my video card had disappeared a couple of times during the crash. But how do I fix that?

That error means your GPU driver reset the GPU, which could be caused by faulty hardware, bad drivers, etc. It's very had to diagnose unfortunately.
