Bug Report OBS Crash on Scene Switch

Most likely your GIFs are large and animated and you don't have enough memory. Use videos instead.
 
Videos don't do transparency easily nor do they allow for infinite looping easily. Unless I'm missing something horribly obvious with OBS config. Also, why is it 2 images <40MB cause it to crash. Video card has 2.5 GB of vid ram... more than enough to have that floating around with on top of everything else.
 
Something felt dirty about this bug.

Investigation results:
Any two animated gif images on two different scenes swapped between regardless of size will cause the crash.
Just used 2 <1KB Gifs to test it. Seems more like dirty memory issues. Now to pull source and start investigating... ugh.
 
Well your dump file clearly showed you were running out of memory due to the misuse of GIFs as videos. If you're still having a crash with 1kb GIFs, please post a new crash log.

1920 x 1080 x 4 BPP x 256 frames = 2.123 GB required for just one of your GIFs. It's easy to see why you are running out of memory.
