Ok so to start OBS was causing BSOD's a lot for me recently. I'm pretty sure I narrowed it down to my external MBOX Mini audio interface. After unplugging it before I start OBS and using my Astro Mixamp as the "soundcard" instead of my MBOX I get no more BSOD's but now I will stream for a few hours, if I'm lucky, and OBS will freeze up and my stream will stop. In order to be able to start streaming again I have to completely reset my computer due to the fact that the OBS process is still running in task manager and cannot even be forced closed. Since OBS is still "running" it doesn't release my Elgato until the pc is restarted. Yesterday it actually crashed completely which allowed the program to create a crash log. All the other times it did not see it as an actual crash so no crash logs were created. I have attached a log and the most recent crash log so you geniuses can try and figure this out and help me :)
My other issue is I have a pretty beast computer, good equipment, and plenty sufficient internet. My computer specs are in the log file although it says I have 4gb memory when I have 16gb I'm guessing due to the 32-bit OBS since 32-bit programs can only use or see up to 4gb of memory. My internet is 50 down and 5 up although when speed testing I consistently get around 60 down and 5.5 up according to speedtest.net and as a backup I use ISP Geeks to test my speed and QoS and the results were fairly similar with a 52.6 down and a 5.35 up. So I assume the results are pretty accurate. Now don't get me wrong my stream quality isn't bad by any means and is quite watchable. The issue I have is that with my current setup I feel it should be better. I know of people with similar setups and settings in OBS and their streams look a lot crisper and smoother. My stream just seems kind of hazzy/blurry compared to a lot of the other streams that have/use pretty much the same equipment that I have. Here is a link to one of my recent streams on twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/diggy_smalls/b/465635668 and compared to say a stream of Nadeshot's that also uses an Elgato and has a nice computer like mine, it kinda baffles me why his quality is so much crispier than mine. **Please note the log says that I stream 60FPS. I don't, I just changed that for testing purposes and it shows in the log file**
If any of you have any ideas or help you can offer me please let me know. I really appreciate it. Thanks Guys!
