okay, so, iv'e been noticing in past few days now that when i start my stream everything is going smoothly, i can play games, run around fast pased or slow pased anything and my cpu usage is at a steady 58% or so (wow or cs:go doesn't matter).

After streaming a while my cpu usage starts to increase (mostly what i see is obs spikes alot) and after a while (long streams like 6-9hours) it actually starts to affect the stream and game framerate, even obs starts saying high cpu usage consider turning down settings. even if i have all the same things open than i had when i started it does this... gradually builds up, is there something that might cause this and i'm just stupid to not notice it?! Antivirus maybe?

Attached log from stream around 3½ hours long, didn't build up quite that bad but started to show on my taskamanager (5-10% increase)

I'm running stream with i7-4770k @3.50GHz stock, with 16GB ram and asrock h87 pro4 mobo. Windows 8.1 pro 64-bit. running obs from my main sdd and local recording to seperate hdd. (sdd for windows 1 hdd for games 1 hdd obs recordings and 1 hdd for shadowplay)

The next time this happens please have a program like CoreTemp or HWMonitor handy to check your CPU temperature and clock speed. Your description sounds a lot like throttling due to thermal issues.

been streaming 3½ hours now almost and cpu core speed hasn't changed at all, it has increased momentarily for couple seconds according to cpuz but it hasn't decreased. i'm seeing small to moderate increase in cpu usage now tho, high activity in screen now takes 50% cpu in obs where it used to take like 30-40% starting to think its something else entirely... gona run some malware scans and so on..

Okay, its obs for sure now, after 6.something hours of streaming obs was at 65-68% for no reason, just rebooted the software and its fine now, sitting at 20% idle in game and around 40% when i move around. im using 64 bit client btw if it helps.

custom set crf settings shouldnt really have any affect since you have cbr enabled.

have you tested streaming without webcam or lowered the webcam resolution?
