OBS completely refuses to open despite troubleshooting

I've been using OBS for a few years and never had any major problems. Recently, it has refused to open despite constant uninstalling, reinstalling, enteing %appdata%\obs-studio and deleting the folders within. When I try that method, OBS opens for a brief moment before closing and refusing to open again. All divers are up to date and everything.

This happened directly after I added a new 16gb stick of RAM. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or just a coincidence. I've tried several troubleshooting methods, many I found from previous threads, but have had no luck.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

HAGS is enabled & something is up with your VLC installation but that stick of RAM should be hammered.

The OBS log is only showing (1) stick. I don't know what mobo you have but if it has (4) RAM slots, the sticks should be in slots 2 & 4.

Might be a bad stick of ram then. Should I remove it to see if obs opens again?

If they are in the correct slots, yes. If not, move them to the correct position & test again. If it fails again, remove it. Make sure your PC is unplugged before touching anything on the mobo.

99% certain they're in the correct slots. I'll open it up and remove the newer stick and see if that does the trick. Greatly appreciate your help so far!

I always open up my mobo's owners manual when making changes. I built the damn thing but forget details that are easily found.

Yes, it is not right. But nothing behind the OS should be able to access this RAM (or know that it exist at all).

Something in common on both this system & mrnotloc's. Probably just a weird coincidence but both check out after the Scene loads.

00:53:59.629: Loaded scenes:
00:53:59.629: - scene 'Scene':
00:53:59.629: ------------------------------------------------

No, Display Settings > Graphics Settings, re-boot

If you did make any changes to the RAM settings in BIOS after adding the 2nd stick (like XMP), you'll need to return to the original settings.
