OBS causes screen tearing in Minecraft.

Hey, guys. I saw another post like this from a few years ago, but there wasn't a marked solution. Maybe after three years, I wondered if someone would've found an answer. Here's the problem:

I record videos on Minecraft Java Edition. I have a decent PC that runs Minecraft pretty smoothly. When I open OBS, I get screen-tearing like crazy inside of Minecraft. My FPS doesn't change, so I don't think it's a performance issue. I think there may be an interference between Minecraft and OBS, but I don't know. Ples help.

SOLVED: You have three options. I will list them in order of most efficient to least efficient.

  1. Settings>General>System Tray. Click "Enable" and check "Always minimize to system tray instead of taskbar." For some reason, having OBS open and on-screen instead of minimized can cause interference. But minimizing OBS doesn't always do the trick, so try this option to hide OBS completely.

  2. Settings>Advanced>Sources. Disable "Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration." I'm using this option.

  3. Settings>General>General. Enable "Hide OBS windows from screen capture." I don't know what this does. I think it hides OBS from your recordings and possibly other screen capture applications. At least, that's what the description says.

I would like to thank God for helping me figure this out and everyone else who tried to help me on Reddit.
