Question / Help OBS causes pc to freeze?

I am new to pc and am pc illiterate. I just built this pc and I've played many cpu intensive games for hours but my pc never freezes. Once I begin streaming for anywhere between 30 mins to an hour it freezes to a white screen. I've checked my temps and everything is fine in that department. I literally just built this and want a fix asap. Is this a problem with anyone else or just me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are my specs:

-El Gato GameCapture HD
-AMD FX8320
-GIGABYTE 970A UD3P Motherboard
-MSI Radeon R9 270X Graphics Card
-2x4gig G.Skill Ripjaws Ram
 
I have just tested streaming PC games with OBS and without the Elgato Game Capture HD and no crash so I'm assuming it has something to do with the game capture. I don't really know what to look for in the log, but am willing to learn.
