I think i read somewhere that OBS does not cashe or temp file to the hard drive? This is important because i just installed a SSD can anyone confirm this for me?

thats good but to educate myself how it not a concern? even modern SSDs are still limited to X amount of writes. they still break down

It's not a concern because you would have to be making a concerted effort to hit the daily write limit on a modern SSD over an extended period of time to make it wear down within its warranty period. On a Samsung 850 Pro for example you would have to write something like 40GB to it every day for 10 years to accomplish this. Even the early Intel drives were guaranteed for something like 20GB of writes a day for 10 years. You can check your own drive's specs but this probably isn't the sort of thing you should be worried about.

O ok thx. Ya i just bought the 1TB Samsung 840 seems to be a pretty sweet drive so far. lightning fast compared to the 5400 rpm HDD i had before haha. thx again for the reply i appreciate the response.
