Question / Help OBS capturing 1 FPS [SOLVED]

So I'm trying to stream ArcheAge and i start up OBS fine, 30 constant FPS when i'm tabbed OUT of the game, and as soon as I tab in to the game, boom, OBS records only 1 FPS. If I tab out again, 30 fps again... you get the picture.
I've checked the processor and memory usage and it doesn't reach 100% ever.

why do you have to tab in out when you are supposed to run the game in windowed mode?

imo i think 1600x900 might be a bit too much for an 1st gen i5 try downscaling it by 1.25

I am running the game in windowed mode, which is at 1600x900. And when I tab out is to check facebook or something, the game is still up but i'm just on facebook. I've streamed before 1920x1080 without problems...

archeage is quite a demanding game

even i get cpu usage around 80% when streaming + playing on my i7 2700k@4ghz

since the hackshield prevents gamecapture sometimes, have you tried monitor capture with aero disabled?

I disabled Aero and switched from Window Capture to Game Capture with anti-cheat compatibility and it is now running perfectly, thanks :)
