Question / Help OBS Can't Handle New Monitor Resolution?

So Recently i just obtained a new monitor, and before i was using a much smaller less useful one. With the old one i could stream just fine at 30-60 fps and record at 60. Now that i have obtained this new monitor, since its more powerful i tried streaming and recording with it, but obs lags/freezes in footage. So i tried lowering the in game resoltion to the OLD monitor resolution on the new one and now its perfectly fine O_O. is there anyway i can make it so i dont make my window smaller to play? i shall upload a log with the lower res on new monitor going well.

The higher the resolution you go, the more powerful your computer needs to be to run it well.

You can set your OBS resolution to your old monitors resolution while still playing at the new one. Look in Settings / Video.

i dont think its helping so i guess il have to stick to th old resolution. ty every1
