OBS Camera Source Keeps Resetting + Facebook Stream “Cannot Connect to Server”

Hello!

We are currently experiencing recurring issues while using OBS for our scheduled webinars and would appreciate your assistance.

First, the setup sources in OBS keep resetting, particularly our camera source. We are using an Osmo Pocket 3, and after failures or restarts, the camera source frequently disappears or resets. This forces us to manually set up the sources again before we can go live.

Second, when attempting to go live to our Facebook Group, OBS often shows the error “Cannot connect to server.” We are using the correct Facebook stream key, but the connection does not consistently establish.

When the connection fails, OBS appears to reset parts of the configuration, including the camera source, which means we have to reconfigure everything again before attempting another stream.

These issues occur mainly during our scheduled webinars, making it difficult to start the broadcast on time. Any guidance on stabilizing the setup and preventing these resets would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help.

FB Live stream keys expire pretty quickly if pre-generated -- that "cannot connect" error is usually a stale key rather than a server problem. Generate a fresh key right before going live each time rather than reusing one from a previous session. The camera source reset is almost certainly a side effect of OBS tearing down the streaming pipeline when the connection fails, not a separate bug, so fixing the stream key issue should stop both problems.
