Having the virtual camera on for an extended period of time crashes windows, completely wiping all setting on OBS and removing all assets.

I think, this is coincident. If whole system crashed, then PC is not stable, and when PC is not stable - data loss is possible.

I did a ton of tests, it is OBS

Can you write step by step how to reproduce the problem?

The nature of the issue: "Having the virtual camera on for an extended period of time crashes windows..." looks more like memory leakage, when no free RAM left in the end. Try to use Windows Task Manager to monitor resources usage.
