Question / Help OBS Black Screen on Display Capture

Hello friends!

I have been using OBS to record my videos for a while, and just today I ran into this problem where the screen goes black on DISPLAY CAPTURE ONLY. Game capture works perfectly normal. All other recording settings work fine. It's just the damn display capture.

So, basically, when I click on the + sign, choose display capture, and click ok, I don't see anything. Just a big black screen of nothingness. I did the "fit to screen" option, yet, nothing happened. It's not capturing my screen.

Please reply, it will be greatly appreciated.

Laptop? Black screen when capturing? Read here first. The mentioned Multi-adapter Compatibility mode for 'Game Capture' source now named SLI/Crossfire Capture Mode (Slow). In win7 you can see Multi-adapter Compatibility option for 'Display Capture' source too.

What exactly didn't work? Where new log-file with recording attempt?

I had the same problem and I couldn't figure out what was going on.
And then I just turned off NVIDIA Shadow Play and it worked again.
