Question / Help OBS Black Screen Of Death

Ok, hear me out. I know that there are a bunch of other posts like this, but they all have something to do with some sort of dual gpu bull crap. I only have one gpu on my self-built computer. And every time I try and run a game it gives me a black screen at fullscreen. In minecraft, it says it's running on my AMD Radeon R9, and my OBS video adapter is the same thing. But it still gives me a black screen. Any form of help would be GREATLY appreciated!

only game capture works with full screen games, it will also work with windowed ones.
window capture works with just windowed mode programs even if its windowed-noborder.
post your log as stated above:

I have managed to find a way that works
step 1 make sure obs and other aplication are running on same graphics card
2 open game
3 open obs and set up game capture as you would normally do
4 close obs then shift-right click and click on troubleshoot compatibility
5 use the settings it recommends and check it should now be working
6 reboot obs and go into game capture
7 use alt+tab to switch to game being captured and then again back to obs (while previewing)
8 this SHOULD have worked.
this was worked out on a windows 7 machine with nvidia graphics card
hope this helps

Yea, u have to tab out of the Game If u add a new gamecapture. I think thats normal. Only few Games hook up after few seconds, without tabbing out. Like nfs rivals for me.
