OBS Audio Monitoring

I've heard that you can setup OBS's cap card audio monitoring to persist even when the application is closed. Basically hearing HDMI audio through OBS without having the application open, any insight on how to do this exactly? Or if it's even possible?

Nope, can't do that. Once OBS stops, all of its processing does too, and it releases everything that it was using.
