Question / Help OBS Audio Buffer Broken..?

Audio buffer doesn't do anything for me, whether positive or negative. I can't change it for my Mic or for the Game audio. I've switched between 700 and 4000 scene buffer to give myself room, and it still does nothing. Even Universal Sound delay seems to do nothing at all.. and I've tried "Timestamp" and "Mic QVC"
I can't get microphone to line up with everything else. I'm using a desktop so webcam and capture card get in instantly, but i simply cannot get the microphone to line up, even by plugging it into USB 3.0, which really only helps unnoticeably, if at all.

Someone please tell me I just missed some setting..

Are you referring to microphone sync offset? May we see a log of your attempts?

You're using the microphone through your webcam -- with use buffering enabled as well. Use buffering forces a sync on the timestamps of the two devices, if that makes sense. If you're having a sync issue despite 'use buffering', then I would just recommend taking it off of the webcam and using it via audio settings instead, and setting sync offset there. Though at this point I'd have to see the computer personally to really be able to help all that much. All I can do this point is try to troubleshoot and offer alternatives.

How else am I going to do mic checks without streaming live? I could barely hear myself during my stream today it was very frustrating. I wish there was a setting to decrease game audio while microphone is active, just like on the Elgato.

My apologies. That's sort of what we put in the mic meter for, to verify that the mic was on, working, and playing at appropriate levels. The mic meter isn't sufficient for you?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. The mic meter is actually really helpful, but being able to hear myself helps tremendously when calibrating mic audio vs game audio settings.

We will be able to have monitoring in later versions, but we don't currently have it available.
