You capture your xbox through a video capture device. Do you have one?

No, I didn't know I needed one. My friends told me about the software but not the hardware. So my NVIDIA graphics card won't help then?

Well you'll have to get one unfortunately. They cost around 150ish USD. If you're on a desktop computer, get an internal capture device, they're cheap, and almost all work pretty good (although I sort of dislike blackmagic because they're too picky about resolution).

Avoid USB devices unless you're on a laptop.

USB devices generally give more resolution options, but introduce a 2-5 second delay between what you're doing in the game, and when its displayed in OBS. If you don't mind that delay, then a USB device is just as useful as an internal card.
Of course there is always the USB3.0 devices like x-capture 1 that don't have a delay, but that costs ALOT.

As far as internal cards go, you don't have a great deal of options other than a Blackmagic Intensity Pro, or an Avermedia Live Gamer HD

USB 3.0 devices are good, often even a bit better than internal, but yea, they're still a bit expensive right now.

Thank you for the info. I appreciate it. I use a program to use my desktop from my laptop so if there won't be lag issues from that I could go internal.
