I'll try all of that later on and see what it does. I just wish it weren't so difficult just to get the audio and video to sync up, lol!
When I stream, as of right now the two games that I stream are Fallout 3 and a Final Fantasy Tactics mod, in which I have Twitch and OBS open on one screen, and the game on another (dual monitor setup). When I record videos for YouTube, I just have OBS open on one monitor.
So you just have a single PC? because you dont need a capture card if you only have a single PC. cap cards are meant for either consoles or a gaming PC to offload the encoding to a second PC.

Single PC yes, but I forgot to put that when I record for youtube, I use Console Capture (Final Fantasy is being captured from Playstation 1, so I use the Elgato for console captures)

so set your webcam a buffer of 1400ms and mic audio delay of the same. your webcam should be hapening before your capture card, this will get it sync'd up a little better.

I don't use a webcam, just a Snowball microphone and the Elgato.
I don't have a problem setting up my microphone, I have that delayed as it needs to be. My problem is the elgato is not syncing the video and in-game audio as it records.

I'm sorry, I got your issue mixed up partially with another.

LtRoyalshrimp posted this to a few other users that were unable to get the 1ms buffer set properly:
Drivers come as part of the Elgato Game Capture install package.

What you can try is this:

  • Open Windows control panel
  • Go to uninstall a program
  • Find the Elgato HD or HD60 drivers, something like HD60 2.3.3.3
  • uninstall all Elgato device drivers as well as the Elgato Game Capture software
  • Reboot
  • Download and install again from http://www.elgato.com/gaming/download
  • Reboot
  • Open OBS, add video capture device

Please report back if this helps, or does not.
