Question / Help OBS and a Hauppauge Box, Trying to Stream a Cell Phone

I have just gotten a working Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition, and I am using the early test build of OBS's multiplatform system. When I get the box to the OBS, it shows the phone, intermittently, and the frames are very low when the screen is actually up. How can I get this working?

Does it work properly in Hauppauge's software? What resolution/FPS is the phone sending to the HDPVR, and is the source in OBS configured to use the same?

It doesn't work. I'm not sure it's the box, though, because the box is brand new. As for the framerate, I'm trying to find how to sync the two together, but I can't find where the settings are for that on my phone. Galaxy Note 4, by the way.

If it doesn't work in Hauppauge's own software then troubleshooting OBS is probably not the best way to go about this.

I am going to try and find the settings I need, then test back. just for reference, what are the most optimum settings to stream via Twitch? Everyone has different numbers.

That's because everyone has different hardware and internet connections, and they aren't streaming the same types of content. https://obsproject.com/estimator is a good place to start.
