Hey all,
I’m running OBS 32.0.1 on Windows 11 (25H2, build 26200) with an MSI RTX 3060 12GB and a Ryzen 5 3600X.
The problem: OBS crashes with this error:
Unhandled exception: c0000005
Fault address: nvwgf2umx.dll
It happens even in Safe Mode, with no plugins or browser sources loaded. My driver is 576.28 WHQL, clean installed after a DDU wipe, and I’ve tried multiple clean OBS installs and fresh scene collections.
Sound Alerts is my only browser source normally, but this crash occurs without it loaded, so it seems like a driver/Direct3D issue.
I’ve already:
Anyone else running an RTX 3060 on Windows 11 seeing the same? Any ideas for a real fix besides rolling back to ancient drivers or switching to a different overlay system?
Thanks in advance.

I’ve already:
- Done multiple DDU wipes and clean installs (576.28 and tried 560.94 from Guru3D)
- Tested OBS vanilla (no plugins, no browser sources)
- Checked that Windows Update hasn’t overwritten the driver
