That may or may not apply to NVENC, alpinlol because those settings are meant for x264.

i know... i havent tried it thats why i suggested it to see if he actually tries it and either gives us an answer on it if it works out

I replied with the answer. It runs like crap. It doesnt work like normal local recording. The video gets completely pixelated with 1000bitrate. Thats why I have it set to 50000. I have also tried 25000 and its not quite as smooth or sharp of an image. Also theres no way of setting a custom x.264 with nvenc from what I was told

theres still no answer on the "buffer" ... if you actually changed the "buffer" to 0 or did you leave the settings on default which would change the buffer the same size as your bitrate

thats why i said 1000 bitrate (which doesnt even matter) and buffer of 0 which allows the encoder to use as much bitrate as needed

This only applies to x264 (the software) encoder, nvenc doesn't do this.

On topic though, I have no problems with nvenc at 1080p60 with 50k bitrate at all, performance is absolutely the same (from my inexperienced view) as with shadowplay. Looking through your log the only thing that can severely impact your performance is monitor capture. Remove it. Now. ;) Use _only_ game capture.

YES! Just created an account to thank you.

Searching for how to do nvenc offline recording led me to this thread.

How does anyone do 50k bitrate when 47 seconds of record time takes up 291,134 KB??

Well, consider the fact that a 47 second 1920x1080 30 fps recording of raw RGB footage would take up 8,565,750 kilobytes, or 8,364 megabytes or 8.1 gigabytes, and you would realize that you're getting off the hook easy with 284 megabytes and having the video look as good as it does.

I do 1920x1080@60fps at 20k with NVEnc, and I think it looks nearly indistinguishable from the original gameplay. You'll have to decide for yourself which bitrate to use, based on your own needs to save disk space or keep quality high. We really can't do it for you.
